I am an ordained Pastor with 15 years experience in full-time ministry, and currently lead a church in East London. I am in full agreement with the Evangelical Alliance Basis of Faith.

A few years ago I was leading a growing church with no staff, no admin support, and no margin. I was doing everything — preaching, pastoring, managing the building, handling emails, writing minutes, chasing trustees. Sound familiar?

I couldn't afford to employ someone locally. But I needed help.

So I took a risk. I brought in an overseas contractor to handle the admin — a remote PA who could manage correspondence, coordinate schedules, support the office, and take the administrative load off my desk.

It changed everything.

Not just the hours I got back — though that was significant. It changed how I led. I had headspace to think, to plan, to actually pastor my congregation instead of drowning in tasks that someone else could handle far better than me.

And it cost a fraction of what a local hire would have.
